No other reverb added - far mics are mixed in and the highest strings don't have dampening on the real thing - that's why the decay is so long.
One last thing - I've installed only "economy" sample pool for now - around 30 gigs, running from a vintage WD Black 7200RPM drive.Īs I wrote in my previous post, this is the damper pedal which is very prominent, you can either switch it off or this is the very least amount you can dial in in this particular preset - the solution might be render with the damper pedal off and then render another pass only the damper pedal and mix to taste - not very comfortable I admit. Well, not holding my breath that this will be fixed anytime soon… The truth is this can only be heard in the Newman beauty preset when really cranked up, as this preset of course uses only the lowest velocity layer(s). And I've come across the preset called "Soft and moody" which I like even more for this kind of music - so maybe next timeīack in the day I've found a note (middle E) which is ruined by some noise, so I'm attaching this as well. Of course you can switch it off completely (or make it even louder - this is not a problem anymore when using any standard velocity preset. I think the damper noise is too loud, but unfortunately, it's the least volume I can dial in - kinda like it anyway. As promised, here's a very quick demo of Garritan CFX piano library - first 2 files with Newman beauty preset - out of the box (saturation knob cranked almost all the way up), just a touch of limiting.
